Outline of Services Included in All BC Productions Wedding DJ Packages

BC Productions doesn’t believe in just having a quick conversation when you schedule your event with your DJ and then not seeing them until they are setting up the equipment during your dinner reception.  Below is the time that we invest in practically every wedding BCP is involved in! All of the items mentioned below are included in the package price.

Initial DJ Set-up & Contact         .5 To 1 Hour

We believe that you should know who your DJ is going to be from the moment you start working with us. Our sales staff will talk with you about what you want, and are looking for from an entertainer, and match you with the staff member that best fits what you are looking for. This will be done either by phone or in person. However, e-mail may be used to try and arrange the meeting. If you would like to have an in-person meeting with the DJ you are working with before you reserve your wedding date, we can also work to set that up.

Pre-Planning Set-up .25 To .5 Hours

Your DJ and sales staff will set-up a client log-in for you to access your own on-line planning and music request forms. We will then make sure that you can get logged in, and understand how to use our planning materials. Printable planning forms are also available. We will also provide you with our music idea sheets for various parts of your wedding reception.

Planning Meeting     1 To 4 Hours

Preferably, this meeting will be done in person with the Bride & Groom. This is the time to tell your DJ what you would like or not like at your reception. If needed, your DJ will also help to provide tips and ideas to help you. Finally, you and your DJ will put together a general itinerary of events for the evening. You are not limited to just one meeting with your DJ. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible with the pre-planning of your wedding reception.

Contact Venue  .25 To .5 Hours

Your DJ will call the location of the reception to discuss the setup of the venue, as well as time we can get in to set up.

Music Search & Purchase   1 To 2 Hours

Based upon the music requests that you submit in advance, we will go out and search for and purchase any music that is needed for the formal dances. This is at no additional charge to you.

Drive Time   1 To 2 Hours

We do not charge mileage for events that are within an hour of Des Moines.

Load, Unload, Set-up & Teardown   3 To 5 Hour

The time needed to prep the equipment before and after we arrive at the venue. Also includes the time to teardown after your reception.

Pre-Event Walk Through   .5 To 1 Hours

Go through the pre-event checklist and verify everything is ready for guest and wedding party arrival. This is usually done the week of your wedding, and over the phone. We will also talk to the venue coordinator to go over the timeline for your reception to make sure that we are all on the same schedule for your peace of mind.

Performance Time    5-6 Hours (Additional Hours Available)

There is no limit to the time that your DJ will play. The contracted time begins when your first guests arrive. The contracted time can be negotiated for extra time. The package also includes our basic lighting package, but can be upgraded to our Premium Lighting Package. Visit our lighting page for photos and more information. Our staff typically wear tuxedos (provided by Skeffington's Formal Wear) or Suits. It is up to you as to what our staff members wear.

Total Time   12-22 Hours of Service
